When Sonic isn't looking, Wave transforms Sonic's Plane into a new Extreme Gear, Sonic is pissed at first but he sees the lot of potential in this new machine and the sassy bird girl.
During the modern era, Wave becomes more of a noble thief thanks to Sonic's influence and ends up becoming Amy's BFF.
Tails earns Jet's respect and becomes part of the Babylon Rogues (Now called Bablyon Armada, because Tails built planes for them) because Jet can use his intellect to better his nasty causes.
Tails gains an air of smug confidence from his time with Jet while also developing an inferiority complex due to never getting over the bullying he received as a kid."
