Heyo! Sorry I haven't been posting as much lately, just been busy with life. But that doesn't mean I haven't been drawing! Mixed in with some projects, been doodling and writing some Sonic OC stuff these past months. So, I decided I should probably let them see the light! To start with, here's bios of my Sonic OCs Itri and Crimson! My gorls~ These simple refs are (at this rate) their finalised designs, so if you see other art of them looking a little different, it'll be older art.



Itri the Hyena

Summary:
Itri’s birth mothers, a fellow fighter and soothsayer, were separated from their daughter when she was a baby. While their conditions are unknown, many believe them to have died. Taken in by close family friends, they became Itri’s foster parents and mentors. At an early age Itri shows interest in honouring her family’s legacy, so her family offers to have her trained to be a fighter like her mother. With her powers, she focused equally on music and combat, undergoing rigorous training in singing, dancing, and fighting. She spends her young adulthood as a standard fighter, working mostly bodyguard jobs. While the work was fine, she grappled with the feeling like she’s not doing enough while having a hard time making friends, leaving her feeling stuck in place. Seeing this, her family encourages her to explore the world, develop her music and find herself, reassuring her they’ll be here whenever she comes back. With this advice, she quits her job and begins the next adventure in her life.

After a few years of solo travelling, she stumbles into a town where she would meet Crimson. Despite their differing personalities, the two hit it off. Helping the town with a sudden attack, the two are enamoured with each other’s abilities and coordination. Itri convinces Crimson to pursue her dreams, but not expecting her to want to come along with her. While hesitant at first, her positive attitude oddly persuades her to bring her along. So with a new found friend, Itri continues her journey of travelling the world, making music and helping people. With Itri’s more closed off tendencies, and Crimson’s unconstrained energy, the two balance each other out, and their growing friendship allows them to let each other be themselves in a way they couldn’t before with someone.

Personality:
Itri presents herself as a serious yet graceful person with a tough exterior. Confident and determined, has a strong sense of justice and duty, wanting to live up to her birth parents' image. This intense focus causes her to distance herself from others, becoming a slightly aloof loner. Despite her nature, she deeply cares for her loved ones, willing to put her own happiness or safety on line for others. Although very stoic, she has a lot of enthusiasm and energy for her work, and never hesitates to stand up for what is right. Has a playful side she lets shine through on occasion. Observational, perceptive and a good listener, others often come to her for advice. While rare, she has a bit of a temper and can become more impulsive when angered.

Extra:
Loves anything chocolatey. Chocorooms and chocolate-covered nuts are some favourites.

While tries to keep her outfits simple, she loves wearing jangly jewellery. Swaps out her bracelets and earrings a lot.

Has a deep appreciation for nature from her foster mother. Loves to visit botanical gardens and go on nature walks.

Tries not to smile with her teeth, as it makes people nervous. Has a giggly hyena cackle she finds embarrassing.

Her bite could easily break through bone, makes it easier to eat hard candies.

Despite her skill at reading people, she’s pretty clueless when it comes to romance. Takes her a long time to figure out Crimson has feelings for her (and vice versa).

She fights by dancing around her enemies. While skilled at ranged distances, she does the most damage in close combat. Mixed in with her proficiency with firearms, speed and finesse, it makes her a challenging and dangerous opponent.

Her powers are tied to her singing voice. Carrying magical properties, her vocal range and resonance generate energy that can weaken enemies or empower allies. Singing specific incantations or melodies can help her summon attacks or transformations. Her vocal magic is also closely tied to her emotional state. When confident and uplifted, her voice is empowering and potent. When doubtful, her voice loses its strength.

Her stripes glow when using her powers. The intensity changes depending on her emotions.

Her favourite genres of music are pop, EDM trap, and synth-pop.

Summary:
Born and raised in a small, quiet town, Crimson wished to travel the world and help others ever since she was young. She was hoping to pursue her dream as soon as she was old enough, but was convinced to stay home. Not to disappoint her family’s wishes, she agrees, becoming a fighter in her home town. She grappled with the feeling of not living up to her potential, and her relatively quiet life and inexperience made her feel inadequate, though she kept that information to herself.

That all changes when she meets Itri. Helping the town with a sudden attack, the two are enamoured with each other’s abilities and coordination. While she worries about being too much or not being ready, Itri reassures her that she doesn’t have to hold back and encourages her to explore the world if she wants to. In a split second decision, she exclaims she wants to join Itri in her travels. While seemingly hesitant to take her up on the offer, Itri surprises her by agreeing to bring her along. So with her trusty bo staff, the clothes on her back and her determination, she travels the world with Itri, helping as many people as she can. With Itri’s more closed off tendencies, and Crimson’s unconstrained energy, the two balance each other out, and their growing friendship allows them to let each other be themselves in a way they couldn’t before with someone.

Personality:
Despite the intimidating name, it couldn’t be further from the truth. Crimson is perky, bubbly and energetic, showing a deep love for adventure. She is very lovable to be around and is easy to get along with. She gets easily excited and distracted, and isn’t shy in expressing herself. While a tad naive, she has near boundless optimism and is very open-minded, always willing to see the good and people and not take things at face value. Despite her energy, she has insecurities about her eagerness, as well as past experiences being ostracised for her energetic personality.

Extra:
A big eater, exercises a lot to balance out her love of greasy foods.

Makes ribbit noises when startled or flustered. >-<

Loves to swim. Wants to visit as many rivers, lakes, and oceans as possible.

Dislikes cold weather, but loves to wear big, comfy clothing.

First time she experienced a snow day she nearly got hyperthermia from bouncing around in the snow without a jacket.

Develops romantic feelings for Itri during their travels, has a bit of a panic. Thinks Itri is way out of her league. Couldn’t be further from the truth.
