Their first kiss is

and a very good start to many good things
It comes after Shard being patched up and him attempting to admit his feelings for Nicole following the realization that he might not always have that chance. Halfway through said confession, Shard panics, pecks her on the lips, realizes that he didn't entirely mean to do that and flies off. He completely avoids eye contact for several days after, embarrassed and mortified that she'll now want nothing to do with him. Once she finally gets him to stop barrelling out of whatever room she walks into, she admits that while she wasn't sure how to feel at first, she inevitabley shares his affections. The result is their first real kiss <3
