Since I love to do redesigns, here's my take on Tikal the Echidna!
My main issue with Tikal was always her colour scheme- she has way too many colours for a sonic character! Compared to someone like Amy, who only really has pink and red to deal with, Tikal has orange and yellow and blue and green and red- it's all too much. So upon removing the skirt, I found the colour scheme was already improved.
I also changed her gloves to give her a more ancient feel- but to maintain the wristcuff-look, I gave her arm wraps. They match her sandles and spine wraps, but I made them yellow, to balance out the yellows and whites. Also gave her knuckle-claws because she deserves them lol
Overall I wanted to maintain the ancient, semi-royal feel while also keeping it simple (also she has some back-spines… because I think echidnas should have them too, but in a different shape than hedgehogs do, of course).
